We have been talking about the philosophy of DesCartes and whether we would eat animals if we could speak with them. These cartoons speak to the same issue.
It was whispered in defiance by a tired old man who had spent his life on the near thankless task of integrating his faith with his science. We inherit his legacy to continue in the face of discouragement and opposition. We also find ourselves wanting to find the easy way out. We are truly Galileo's grandchildren.
